Rounded Rectangular Callout:  WELCOME TO
THE PIGPEN!!!

Text Box:      Some of my favorite memories are the times I spent on my grandparents' farm helping Grandpa do his chores.  I especially enjoyed helping feed the pigs. In those days, jam came in large cans. Grandpa would put a wire handle on an empty jam can and make me a feed pail. Off we'd go to slop the hogs. When Grandpa died, I bought a small brass pig to place among the flowers on his coffin. That became the first pig in my collection. Since then, I've added more pigs to the PigPen, some of which are oinking around on this page. Nowadays, a pig has to be very special for it to move into my pen though, because there isn't room for any more.

Text Box: These are some of my grandpa's pigs. That's me petting the big fella.

Oval Callout: My name is Bacchus. Karen and her husband were in San Francisco in the 1989 earthquake. She found me in a shop in Sausalito the day after. I was lucky I didn't get smashed to pieces. I hang on the wall in the kitchen.

Oval Callout: I'm the piggy who started it all.

Oval Callout: Karen found my photo at the annual Park City Arts Festival in Utah.
Oval Callout: I've been "rooted out" by my brothers and sisters and I am very hungry. I'm part of a porcelain by Lowell Thomas that Karen's husband gave her.

Oval Callout: When Karen's grandma came to visit her in Salt Lake City, Utah, years ago, she brought me with her. It was the only time Grandma visited, so I bring back good memories.
